Overview
The Blighted Isle holds many ancient treasures and ritual grounds in its broken lands. The ancient ritual area known as Khaine’s Embrace is one such place. In the shadow of the Shrine of Khaine, the Embrace has long held dark secrets, for it is here that long ago rituals were performed to the god of urder. Some think there is great power still held in Khaine’s Embrace and were it to be used, the power of a god could be harnessed. Others insist that land is full of nothing more then malevolent evil ready to strike at a moment’s notice.
You’re about to test out those theories. In this version of King of the Hill, your team control both capture points, the Dance of Swords to the west and Death’s Charge to to score points. However, once you control the shrines, the Will of Khaine builds up. powerful effect increases in magnitude for 10 seconds and then detonates, destroying players in proximity to the shrines. You’d best hit and run quickly.
Intended Mechanics
- Capture both Battle Objectives
- Hold both objectives for 15 seconds = invoke Khaine’s Wrath explosion
- Speak with the Scion at the Altar to gain a buff
Order & Destruction Strategy
Move quickly to the Battle Objective closest to your Warcamp and capture it. Then move to your enemy’s Battle Objective and capture it too. Make sure you don’t lose yours. If one faction controls both Battle Objectives for 15 sec they gain the points. When this happens make sure you move to the furthest point you can away from the middle as the explosion will kill everything in range and you will have to re spawn. This could cause you to lose your advantage or even the Battle Objectives.
This may sound simple but it can get a lot more complicated to do with out co ordination and communication. Most Scenarios end up been won my brute force and Warcamp camping.
Strategies
The are several tactics that can used to win this scenario and this will depend on how your opponent is playing:
-
- Capture your Battle Objective and move as unified team to the next objective. IF you have enough firepower and you overwhelm your opponents and capture the flag quick you are safe and you can win. Down side of this is that if you are not powerful enough as a group or fast enough, One enemy can capture your Battle Objective and loose.
- Capture your Battle Objective and stay to defend it. When the fight start have a stealth unit or one melee that can move fast (charge, flee) to sneak behind enemy lines and capture the second Capture your Battle Objective.
- Capture your Battle Objective and move half way to the next Battle Objective to have a skirmish and measure the power of the enemy. If you are winning use tactic 1 above and leave 1 person to watch / guard your Battle Objective just in case. IF you are losing hold as long as you can and use tactic 2 above, sneak behind.
- Capture your Battle Objective then split in two and use the alternate routes to flank the enemy then capture all battle objectives.
