Overview
You’ll never look at Capture the Flag the same way again after playing through Grovod Caverns. It features the standard rules of Capture the Flag with one big twist. You still need to defend your flag while returning the enemy’s flag to your home base to score points; however, when you return the enemy flag this time, one of the bridges spanning your home territory and the center of the map will crumble. Each side has five bridges, and with each flag capture, another bridge gets destroyed. This dramatically alters tactics. Attackers have a more difficult time assaulting your flag position
with fewer bridges; at the same time, trying to cap an enemy flag will be tougher as you have fewer avenues to return and the enemy can camp them out better. If you get down to a single bridge, look out!
Order Strategy
Your battle plans should all be about quick, strategic moves, adjusting to the paths your enemy takes during the encounter and the paths that may suddenly vanish when one or more bridges collapse. A strong defense around your flag is always a good idea; just be careful not to wipe or your enemy will have an easy flag cap. Remember your side spawn paths, and use the outer paths as much as possible going to and from the flags because they offer the most cover. Avoid the center path because you’re bound to
run afoul of enemies. From your home vantage point you can see across the cavern to the flag on the west side.
