Dungeon Guide: Bastion Stairs | Right Wing

Right Wing Guide

Boss 1: Urlf Daemonblessed

The first boss of the right wing is Urlf Daemonblessed, a Marauder of Chaos. His room has two skulls on altars.

  • Skull Destruction: The intended mechanic is to destroy the two skulls on the altars, which will make the boss vulnerable, then burn him down. The skulls will respawn, and you repeat the process. This boss is often bugged, allowing groups to simply burn him down after the first set of skulls.
  • Throat Punch & Aggro Reset: Urlf will use “Throat Punch” to stun the player with the highest aggro for 10 seconds, completely resetting their threat. He will then move down the aggro list. Tanks must be prepared to rebuild threat quickly to prevent him from hitting the DPS.
  • Loot: Urlf Daemonblessed drops a DPS-focused Bloodlord Jewelry piece, which is not part of the Bloodlord Set.

Boss 2: Garithex the Mountain

Garithex is a giant Daemon with three pieces of armor that grant him heavy damage reduction.

  • Armor Strategy: The three armor pieces (Helmet, Pauldron, and Gauntlet of Slaughter) are located in a triangle around the room. The intended strategy is to have your DPS focus on destroying these pieces to make the boss vulnerable before bursting him down.
  • Armor Healing: The armor pieces will heal if they leave combat, so it’s important to keep them engaged with minor DoTs or an off-tank while the main group focuses on the others.
  • Aggro Spikes: This boss will occasionally spike a massive amount of aggro onto a random player (usually a healer). Tanks should save a taunt to use in these situations.
  • Loot: Garithex the Mountain drops the Bloodlord Boots.

Boss 3: Chorek the Unstoppable

This is a dual-boss fight with Chorek and his Rhinox, Juggernaut.

  • Focus Juggernaut: Prioritize killing Juggernaut first. The weakest tank should hold the Rhinox while the rest of the party burns it down.
  • Armor Shred: The main tank should hold Chorek, but be aware of his armor shred mechanic. This debuff stacks, eventually neutralizing a tank’s armor. The off-tank should be ready to taunt and take over if the main tank is taking too much damage.
  • Brazier Positioning: Tank Chorek near the fiery brazier in the room to position the group for the next mechanic.
  • Fireborn Sprite Adds: At 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% health, Chorek will spawn Fireborn Sprite adds. Tanks must pick these up, and DPS should AoE them down quickly to prevent them from overwhelming the healers. A tank’s “Bellows” morale can be used to reduce damage during these phases.
  • Loot: This fight drops the Bloodlord Gloves.

Boss 4: Lord Slaurith

The final boss of the right wing.

  • Colored Circles: Three colored circles with unique buffs will spawn on the floor:
    • Purple Circle: Increases melee damage.
    • White Circle: Increases magic and ranged damage.
    • Blue Circle: Increases healing done.
  • Bloodpulse & Aggro: Aggro is determined by a “Bloodpulse” that spawns on a random party member. The player standing in the area with the “Bloodpulse” text gains temporary aggro. A common strategy is for the group to stack in the purple circle, and when the Bloodpulse spawns, the tank moves to it while the rest of the group repositions behind the boss.
  • Loot: Lord Slaurith drops the Bloodlord Belt.
