This optional boss can be skipped by hugging the right wall of the room.

Tanking Position: The safest place to tank Wrackspite is in the middle of the room, on the large pile of skulls. Tanking near the walls will cause him to enrage and hit the tank for massive damage.
Adds: DPS must focus on killing the statue adds that come to life before they reach the boss.
Aggro Reset: Wrackspite periodically resets his aggro. A two-tank setup is highly recommended to prevent him from bouncing to a DPS or healer.
Terror: This boss causes Terror, disabling resurrection.
Loot: Wrackspite drops the Bloodlord Boots.

Doomspike is the first required boss of the middle wing and is a dual-boss encounter with his pet, Clawfang.

Health Synchronization: Both Doomspike and Clawfang must be killed with their health within 10% of each other. Tank them near each other to avoid taking increased damage.
Terror: This boss causes Terror, disabling resurrection.
Loot: This boss drops a Bloodlord Jewelry piece, not part of the Bloodlord Set.

Zekaraz is an optional boss who stands in the way of the middle wing’s summit.

Bloodrage Buff: This boss has a “Bloodrage” buff that stacks, increasing his damage up to 400% over time.
Field of Screams: Move out of the fire AoE he drops on the ground.
Skull Mechanic: Skulls are located in indents along the wall. Picking them up and bringing them to the altar in the middle of the room will reset the boss’s Bloodrage stack. Be cautious, as there are only three skulls available. Using them too quickly will leave your group vulnerable.
Damage Debuff: Using a skull also applies a stacking 20% damage reduction debuff to the entire party.
Terror: This boss causes Terror, disabling resurrection.
Loot: Zekaraz drops the Bloodlord Gloves.

Kaarn is the final boss of the middle wing and grants influence upon defeat.

Platform Mechanic: The tank must hold the boss on his platform. If he leaves the platform, his skin will turn to iron, and he will become immune to damage.
Blood Puddles: Avoid standing in the red blood puddles the boss spawns. The tank should move him out of these.
Totems: The boss spawns three skull totems on the platform above him. Each totem buffs him. Groups can either ignore the totems (if they have strong DPS) or send a ranged DPS to destroy them using the ramps on the far left and right.
Loot: This boss drops the Bloodlord Chestpiece.

Skull Lord Var’ithrok is the final boss of The Bastion Stair.

Party Positioning: Party members must position themselves in pairs on opposite sides of the boss, with healers standing alone on the remaining two sides. This is crucial for managing his mechanics.
Ring of Fire: The entire fight takes place within a ring of fire. Leaving the ring for too long will cause the boss to reset.
Infectious Rage: The boss will cast a “Infectious Rage” buff on a random player. This is indicated by a yellow text message in the chat and a skull icon over the player’s head. Players with this buff must stop all attacks immediately, as doing damage will cause them to die and inflict damage on nearby allies.
Khorne’s Affliction: The boss will place a powerful, un-cleansable DoT on a random player. The chat will announce this, and a healer must focus heals on the affected player to counteract the damage.
Punt: The boss will periodically punt players in front of him. Players must quickly run back into the fire circle to re-engage. A second tank is highly useful here to pick up aggro while the first tank is recovering.
Adds: Hounds will spawn during the fight. These should be pulled off the healers and AoE’d down by the DPS to prevent them from piling up.
Loot: This boss drops the Bloodlord Helmet.
