The 3 last mastery points are left up to you because there is a choice to be made here depending on what you will end up valuing more.
If you know what you’ll be needing you can only pick 1 tactic and put the remaining 2 points in Path of Destruction for more damage. Otherwise you can pick 2 or even all 3 tactics to swap around without needing respec:
- Party survivability → Tapping the Dark
- Able to perform your rotation for longer + applying pressure on walls with Pit of Shades → Neverending Agony
- Longer range for Infernal Wave → Lengthening Shadows
Option 1 is straight forward but more relevant in smaller fights (e.g. wb v wb) due to the tactic having a 3s ICD.
Option 2 is quite versatile and is the most useful when the META promotes high Time-To-Kill (long fights) or whenever you are constantly facing enemies (wb+ v wb+ combat). Also really nice to have during sieges.
Option 3 is a bit more niche, but it’s a good consideration when you will always be the whole warband is expected to be mobile and face enemies while moving by foot (e.g. in LOTD)
The M2 can be swapped to Wind-Woven Shell if group-survivability is the objective.
