Overview

Many decades ago, in a conflict for the ages, the soldiers of the Empire clashed with the barbarians of the north in a bloody battle. The leaders for each side strode through the melee to encounter one another. The combatants fell back to watch the mighty Champion and the courageous General engage in single combat, with each side cheering for its leader. After a hard-fought battle lasting for hours, the Champion of Chaos finally fell. The men of the Empire, inspired by the General’s victory, surged forward and broke the enemy army.

Though he would live to see the victory, the General succumbed to his wounds later that day. His soldiers made camp and gathered stone. They buried their fallen comrades, marking each grave with a headstone. For their leader, the soldiers made a great cairn. Every man swore an oath that they would all return and build a proper cemetery to honor the dead and commemorate the victory. Many decades later, they did just that, and the High Pass Cemetery still stands as a rare landmark in the frozen wastes of the north.

Now, many years later, another battle is being fought in High Pass. The Order of the Griffon races north to capture the renegade Doctor Zumwald and learn the plans of his evil cult, which is responsible for the spread of the plague in the Empire. Zumwald seeks refuge in the lands of the Northmen, and the Changer of Ways sends his agents to protect the cult leader’s retreat and drive back the soldiers of the Empire. At the High Pass Cemetery, the forces of Order and Destruction will clash, and they will find that in the Age of Reckoning, the spirits of the dead have been awakened by the winds of war.

Intended Mechanics

  • Fight to capture both points
  • Hold both points for a 30 sec
  • Repeat until enough points to win the scenario

Order & Destruction Strategy

There are two capture points in this scenario: the Crypt and the Stag. You can choose from three paths when the start gate opens. Go either left or right as a group to take your first objective; never go straight. After you capture the first objective you need to move (usually from the middle) to the next objective to capture it. The middle will be the place to fight your enemies.

You can of course stay on the objective to defend and if you win the fight then move to capture the other one.

Best Winning Strategy

There are several tactics that work in this scenario and that depends on what classes you have on your side during this scenario. We will exclude the case were you have overwhelmed the enemy and they are sitting in the war camp.

Tactic 1: You can capture on objective and stay there. Defend it, gain points from killing enemies and when you win you sent one person to capture the enemy objective. (Boring by many).

Tactic 2: You can capture on objective and stay there. Defend it, gain points from killing enemies. From the start you sent one stealth class to the other objective. When the enemy moves (all of the them) to come to your side they cap it and you get both objectives. This can work with out a stealth unit but stealth would work better.

Tactic 3: move to middle to see which objective the enemy is going and rush them. Once you win cap the other objective. This has a high risk. If the enemy caps before you get there and they used tactic 2 you could lose. Conditionally you can send one person to cap while the rest rush the enemy side. Usually teams cap one objective then they move to the next and they don’t except a fight in the first 30-40 sec. This is the reverse of tactic 2.

Tactic 4: A mix of the the above through out the scenario.

Tip: You can always leave one capable person to guard the objective when the team moves.
